Did you ever asked yourself what is the Russian twist, well this exercise is an excellent core workout  and it's main focus is the abdominal, obliques and lower back by the turning motion at the torsal. 

This workout is great for athletes like  boxers, golfers, and baseball players because of the natural twist motion of this exercise, or for anyone who is looking to get packs abs or a solid core. 

Once you mastered this easy version, move onto the level 2 for a more challenging core workout. 

So are you ready to give the  exercise a try, follow the step by step instruction and watch the video to make sure you are doing it correctly.

How to do the Russian Twist

1. Sit with your knees bent, heels resting on the floor. 

2. Tilt your torso back slightly so that your abs become engaged, and arch your chest up towards the ceiling to flatten your back and straighten your spine. 

3. Hold your arms out in front of your chest and twist at your torso, rotating your shoulders as far left and right as you can. 

4. Turning left and right is one repetition.
