As for resistance bands, you will feel the tension on the way up as well on the way down during the curl.

Another plus is when you need to change the resistance you are able to do it with easy, all you need to do is increase or decrease the tension by tightening or loosening the band.

Here is another example , while you doing squats with a resistance band, you are able to place the band under your feet. By widening your stance, you are able to increase the resistance without difficulty.

Disadvantage of Resistance Band Exercises

The problem with resistance bands is trying to figure out the right strength. For example if the band is not the right strength, or you might decrease the resistance so much that it might be too easy and you will not get the benefits from your strength training exercise.
