1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground turkey breast
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup red wine
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
12 ounces whole wheat spaghetti
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the turkey, onion, pepper, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, for 7 minutes, or until the turkey is no longer pink and the onion and pepper are tender.
2. Stir in the wine, tomatoes, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, prepare the spaghetti according to package directions.
4. Evenly divide the spaghetti among 6 plates and top with the sauce.
