BBQ Meatballs

This appetizer makes about 36 meatball which is enough so that everyone can take one or two meatballs.  

Instead of honey for your sauce you can also use BBQ, mild or hot sauce to dip your meatball in.

36 meatballs 

Ingredients:

1 pound extra ground turkey breast

2 egg whites

1 small onion, chopped fine

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1/4 non-fat milk

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Pinch cayenne pepper

3/4 cup maple or honey bottled barbeque sauce

Directions:

1 Preheat oven to 400. Spray a 13 x 9 pan with cooking spray.

2 Mix turkey, egg whites, milk, onion, bread crumbs, pepper, cayenne and oregano.

3 Shape mixture into 1" balls. Arrange meatballs in pan, making sure sides do not touch.

4 Bake uncovered 15-20 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink inside.

5 Heat barbeque sauce, stirring occasionally, until hot.

6 Place meatballs on a serving dish. Pour bbq sauce over meatballs or serve on the side.

7 Yield: 36 balls. Serving Size: 1 ball.
